Trip to the lake!

We went to Fort Gibson lake over the weekend. They had a baby pool where we were staying and Brayden loved it! No tears or even a whimper. He was completely content in the water. We also rented a pontoon boat so we had to put him in a life jacket. He wasn't as uncomfortable in it as I thought he would be. He spent most of the time on the boat sleeping, but also enjoyed his new surroundings while he was awake. It was a great weekend!

Cooing, Smiling, Laughing!

Brayden is cooing, smiling and laughing so much now! He's such a happy boy! We love sitting and talking with him and watching for his adorable smiles and coos! You can tell he wants to talk so badly, but he just can't get it out yet. :)

Brayden has also discovered his hand! His fist is quite often in his mouth as far as he can get it. He is definitely fascinated with it!

Mom's Favorite Moments...

There is nothing more wonderful than taking a nap with Brayden! I knew being a mom would be wonderful, but you really don't know the depth of how great it really is until you are a mom. I am overwhelmed by my feelings for him at times. I am so thankful Brayden is in our lives and feel so blessed to have such a sweet little boy! He is absolutely the most wonderful thing ever!! Here we are taking a nap together. :)

Brayden's 1st pool experience!

Brayden was introduced to the pool over the weekend! He did great in the water! It scared him a little the first time the water hit his belly, but he got used to it.

Ok, ok... I have been quite the slacker! I am sorry I have not had a chance to post new pictures of Brayden. Now that I am back at work I don't have much time in the evenings. I'll get used to my new schedule and start posting more pictures soon! Promise!

Napping with Dad

Whew... Dad and Brayden were pooped from a day of fishing! Bobby went fishing, while Brayden wore his "Under the Sea" Outfit. Earlier in the day I had Brayden in his "Catch of the Day" onesie to remind Dad that Brayden is his best catch!

Bath in the sink...

Here's Brayden taking a bath in the sink. It was a little different from his typical bath, but he seemed quite content. I just can't get enough of this adorable little boy! And he's ours!! Definitely a keeper! ;)

First day away...

Well, my first day away from Brayden wasn't as hard as I'd imagined. It was definitely hard leaving this morning, but I was thankful that Bobby drops him off at daycare in the mornings. I know it would have been a million times harder to leave him at the daycare myself. I was so busy at work that my day flew by and before I knew it, it was time to go pick him up! It felt SO good to see him and hold him!! Just makes you appreciate your time with them that much more!! I am just so thankful to be able to work only 30 hours a week. It was great getting off at 4:00 and then I'll have Friday off. I can't wait to spend the entire day with him!

Going back to work

Well, I go back to work tomorrow. Brayden will be going to daycare for the first time and of course I am quite sad. I know he will be well taken care of, but I'll miss him like crazy!! I hope this week isn't too hard for me. I do know that everyone better watch out when I get off work each day... I'll be speeding to get to Brayden!

Another Best Pic!!

The first picture is awesome!! I actually left his hat a restaurant today and thought I lost it... I went back and found it so I figured I better get some pics of him in it. Too cute! The hat is actually reversible. One side is plaid and the other has a dinosaur on it that matches his outfit. I have pictures of it both ways, but the first pic is AWESOME!!

Mom or Dad?

Check out these pictures of Brayden compared with pictures of Bobby and me when we were his age. It's amazing how much he looks like both of us! Sometimes he looks more like me, but then sometimes he looks more like Bobby. I think he got the best aspects of each of us!!

Here's Bobby's baby picture with one of Brayden that looks similar. I think this shot of Brayden makes him look just like his Dad when he was younger!! Especially the expression on their faces! Too cute!




And here's one of me with a similar shot of Brayden. I wasn't able to catch a good picture of Brayden on his belly like the picture of me, but you can see the similarities in our mouths and noses. I haven't gotten a picture that really captures how much I think Brayden looks like me when I was a baby. This was the best I could do. You definitely see it more in person!

Doc Appt Update!

Brayden went to the pediatrician last Thursday, July 24th. It was time for his first set of shots. I was sad thinking about him getting them, and a little anxious, but I did much better than I thought... and so did he. He did let out a loud cry, but calmed down pretty quickly. I was so concerned with calming him that I didn't cry myself. ;)

He weighed 11 lbs 9 ounces! He has gained a whole 5 lbs since he was born 7 weeks ago! I can't believe how fast he is growing. On one aspect I am excited about all the new things he is doing and how cute he is getting, but on another aspect it makes me sad he is growing so quickly! Feels like every time I blink my eyes he gets bigger!
